FLAMEMASTER AND AFFILIATES ACQUIRE A SMALL STAKE IN WORKSEEK.COM AND WILL PARTICIPATE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERAL NEW WEB SITES

Sun Valley, California, February 17, 2000- Flamemaster Corporation (NASDAQ "FAME") today announced that it and affiliated entities acquired a small stake in WORKSEEK.COM, one of the leading career fair business operators and an internet recruitment company.

Flamemaster, in a joint venture, will invest in and participate in the development of several new web sites including DANDYBIZ.com, and FANTASITE.com

Flamemaster owns an approximate 19% interest in PerfectData Corporation (NASDAQ "PERF").  PerfectData recently filed a Preliminary Proxy Statement with the Securities Exchange Commission for a Special Meeting of Shareholders to approve a Stock Purchase Agreement and implementation of  related series of transactions, which would, if consummated, effect a change of control at PerfectData.
