Sun Valley, California, May 10, 2001 – Flamemaster Corporation (NASDAQ "FAME"), today reported net income of $217,083 or $.14 per share on revenues of $1,206,070 for the quarter compared to net of $407,129 or $.25 per share on revenues of $1,475,221 in the year earlier period. The decrease in net during the current period was a result of a lower level of investment gains. Sales from operations expanded to $1,102,830 in the quarter from $1,033,424 in the prior year.

The Company’s balance sheet is very strong with a current ratio of more than 40 to 1. Working capital stood at a healthy $6,309,839.

For the six month period ended March 31, 2001, revenues were $2,157,713 compared to $2,492,768 in the year earlier period. Net income for the six months was $326,937 or $.21 per share vs. $547,903 or $.34 per share. The decrease in revenues and net earnings were due to a lower level of investment gains. Operating revenue expanded to $1,965,776 vs. $1,883,940 in the six months ended March 31, 2000.
